Barcelona players are prepared to use familiar tactics to lure Arsenal man to the Camp Nou this summer. Gerrard Pique is set to tap up Arsenal star Hector Bellerin over a summer move to Barcelona.
Bellerin was included in Spain’s 23 man squad travelling to France following the injury to Dani Carvajal.
According to Spanish Publication Sport via the Metro, Gerrard Pique would attempt to lure Bellerin to move to Barcelona this summer.
Barcelona are being linked with a move for Bellerin but the player is understood to favour the idea of staying at the Emirates. However, Pique would try to tempt him at the Euro 2016.
It was the same tactics employed by Barcelona players in luring Fabregas back to the Camp Nou in 2011.
Bellerin has been impressive since breaking into the Gunners first team in 2014 and Barcelona have kept a close watch on the 21 year old.
Pique was found talking to the player after both club’s Champions League encounter in March and rumours were rife that they could have talked to him about a move back to the Camp Nou.
Although Bellerin admitted he is flattered to be linked with Barcelona, he admitted that he and his family are settled in England and is keen to continue at the Emirates.
Bellerin is expected to remain at Arsenal beyond the current campaign, however to say we’d be able to keep the defender from Barcelona forever is not certain, it will be interesting to know how long it takes the young right back to get his head turned by Barcelona’s reported interest.
